Optional Supplies and Tools:

Let's Get Started!
(Step 1) Make a sheet of Duck brand duct tape fabric that is 16 inches long and seven inches wide. To make your fabric, lay a strip of duct tape sticky side up on a flat surface. Lay the next strip parallel to the first, slightly overlapping the edge. Continue until you have four strips wide. Then, place additional strips sticky side down over the existing sheet to finish your fabric.
(Step 2) Taking the old hat, trace six sections of the hat onto the duct tape with your pen or marker. Cut them out using your scissors.
(Step 3) Using small pieces of duct tape, tape the sections together on the inside to create the shape of the hat.
(Step 4) Lay out two strips of a different color of Duck brand duct tape on your cutting board, each measuring seven inches long. Using your utility knife, cut them each in half lengthwise – you will end up with four pieces. Then cut each of those pieces in half lengthwise again so you end up with eight pieces. Take one of the long strips and lay it on top of the hat at the seams. Repeat until all the seams are covered.
(Step 5) Lay down your old hat on a piece of poster board and trace and cut out the brim of your duct tape hat. Cover the brim in your favorite color of Duck brand duct tape and then, using small pieces of duct tape, attach the brim to the rest of the hat. Tape it on both the under and top sides of the hat.

To save yourself some time, simply cover an old hat with your favorite color(s) of Duck brand duct tape!
Paint Splatter Summer Sun Beach Bag
Approximate Crafting Time 2 Hours
Supplies and Tools
LETS GET STARTED!
(Step 1) Make 2 pieces of duct tape “fabric” one side will be paint splatter and the other will be purple. Each piece should measure 16 inches wide and 13 inches tall.
(Step 2) Make 3 more pieces of duct tape “fabric” one side will be purple and the other side will be paint splatter. Each of these pieces should measure 5 inches wide and 13 inches tall.
(Step 3) Cut 2 pieces of rope 5 inches long, 2 pieces 16 inches long and cut 4 pieces 13 inches long. You should now have a total of 8 pieces of rope.
• Cover each piece of rope in purple duct tape by laying out a strip of purple duct tape a little longer then each piece that you are going to cover sticky side up on a table.
• Place your piece of rope onto the edge of the tape lengthwise and roll the rope onto the tape and leaving about 1 inch of the sticky side showing.
(Step 4) Now it’s time to start assembling your bag. You will need the 2 largest pieces of duct tape “fabric” (16X13) and one of the pieces of 16x5 “fabric” (other two will be used later) and the 2 longest pieces of rope (16 inches).
• Lay your 1st 16x13 piece of duct tape “fabric” on your table so that the purple side is facing up
• Take your one 16” piece of duct tape covered rope and place it on the duct tape fabric sheet so that that extra inch of sticky tape you left on it sticks to the back of the fabric.
• Tear off a 16 inch piece of purple duct tape and tape the rope onto the duct tape fabric (the purple side).
• Take the 16x5 sheet of duct tape “fabric” and line it up along the rope you just taped onto the previous sheet, securing it with a 16” piece of duct tape.
• Repeat for securing the other side (16x13) to the bottom piece.
(Step 5) Take the two pieces of duct tape “fabric” that you have left (5x13) using the same technique you used in step 5 tape the sides o to one of the larger (16x13) sections making sure to tape the rope in between each piece.
(Step 6) Fold up the large piece (16x13) with the two side pieces attached (13x5) so that it stands up on its own and tape the bottom seams of the 2 side panels to bottom of the bag. Tip: don’t forget to use the two 5 inch pieces of rope in between.
(Step 7) Fold the other large panel (16x13) up to meet the two sides and using your last 2 pieces of rope (13 inches) tape the sides to the front to create the body of your bag.
(Step 8) Using 2 pieces of 16 inch long duct tape and 2 pieces of 5 inch long duct tape, tape over the top edges of the bag to create a finished look.
(Step 9) Make a strap for your bag by laying out a long piece of pink tape on a flat surface sticky side up and by placing an equally long strip of purple on top of it (sticky side to sticky side), lining up the edges so that there aren’t any sticky parts showing. Round off the edges using scissors. Sew it onto the top of your bag. Use a small piece of duct tape on the inside of the bag to tape over the threads for added strength. Repeat for the other side of the bag so you have 2 straps.
(step 10) Using one sheet of pink and one sheet of purple duct tape draw out a giant splatter pattern on the back of the sheet and cut it out using scissors. Stick them in the corner on the front of your bag for decoration.
(Step 11) On the back of a green sheet of duct tape fabric draw out the front of a pair of sunglasses, use the grid on the duct tape sheet to help you keep your drawing symmetrical. Cut out your sunglasses using scissors.
(Step 12) Place your sunglasses on a black duct tape sheet and then cut around them leaving a little bit of the black showing so the glasses will be outlined by the black.
(Step 13) Using a blue duct tape sheet trace the sunglasses on the back of the sheet and draw out where you want your lenses and cut them out using scissors and stick them on to the front of your green sunglasses.
(Step 14) Peel the sunglasses off and carefully place them on your bag over the splatter paint pieces.

Make two sheets of Duck brand duct tape fabric that are 32 inches long and two inches wide each. To make a fabric, lay a strip of duct tape sticky side up on a flat surface. Lay the next strip parallel to the first, slightly overlapping the edge. Continue until you have four strips wide. Then, place additional strips sticky side down over the existing sheet to finish your fabric.

(Step 3) Cut out both parts of the tie.
(Step 4) Tape the ends of the tie together using the same color duct tape as the tie itself
(Step 5) To decorate your tie with stripes, lay out a few strips of duct tape that are each about six inches long. These should be a different color than your tie. (Step 1) Cut a strip of the Duck Tape approximately 8 inches. Face the sticky side to cutting board and, with the ruler and hobby knife, cut 6-8 strips of angled tape. The large end should be no larger in a half inch, the other end should taper down to a fine point. Repeat this step for each color.
(Step 2) Take your straw and attach the large end of the strip of tape base. Slowly roll the strip of tape over the straw, keeping the strip centered on itself when rolling. This creates your bead.
(Step 3) Once you fill your straw with beads, cut them off one at a time. While cutting, keep your scissors up against the edge of the bead so none of the straw shows through. Repeat this for every bead you make.
(Step 4) Measure (or just eyeball), the length of elastic you'll need and cut to the length that will fit your neck comfortably. At one end of the elastic band, attach a small piece of tape. This is to prevent beads from falling off the band when stringing them from the other end. Now string your beads one by one until the necklace is full. Once all of your beads are in place, cut off any extra elastic and tie both ends together in a knot.
(Step 5) Be creative! Cut out a shape from your remaining Duck Tape strip and add it to your necklace as a pendant.
